Indonesia U-19 recorded their three consecutive wins in AFF U-19 Youth Championship when they defeated Philippines U-19 4-1 last night. Saddil Ramdani is the man of the match as he scored two goals, including an 80th-minute equalizer.
At Gelora Delta Stadium, Sidoarjo, the Philippines strike first when Chester Pabualan free-kick found the net in 27th minute. The goal was scored from a long-range distance with left foot.
In the remaining time, Indonesia U-19 tried their best to equalize. Saddil Ramdani attempted several long shots, while two wing-backs, Firza Andhika and Rifad Marasabessy, sent crossing repeatedly to provide good delivery for Rafli Mursalim, the goal-getter.
But there is no goal until the drama came in the last 10 minutes. Saddil Ramdani scored the equalizer from a long shot in the 80th minute. He made it by his left foot, from penetrating and finish it without seeing the Philippines goalkeeper.
Indonesia U-19 then secured the lead after Firza Andhika header two minutes later found the net. The goal was assisted by Madura United young right-back Rifad Marasabessy. That goal was very inspiring, and successfully uplifting the morale of Indra Sjafri players.
And then in the 85th after Firza goal, Saddil doubled his tally by did the same goals as the first one. A long shot using his left foot, but this one is more powerful. Those goals are the third for young Persela Lamongan winger in this tournament.
Todd Rivaldo Ferre then scored the closing goal, to give the 4-1 win for Indonesia U-19. Nine points from three matches. A win against Vietnam next match will make Garuda Muda qualify from the group stage.
