Persija Jakarta face heavy schedule after Eid Mubarak break

After one week break because of Eid Mubarak, Go-Jek Liga 1 2018 shall be back at the beginning of July. But before it, there will be three matches to replace the postponed matches, and all of them are for Persija Jakarta.

Persija will be back on action when they meet against Persebaya Surabaya at 26 June. The match should be held at the end of May, but the supporters riot at Sultan Agung Stadium (Persija temporary home stadium) make the league operator postponed it and doing reschedule.

Four days after faced Persebaya, Persija will play the Indonesian El Clasico against Persib Bandung. The old rivalries between two top teams in Indonesia.

The match should be held on 28 April, but because the date is nearing National Labor Day, the police didn’t release security permission, so the match should be rescheduled again.

Lastly, Persija will face Perseru Serui on 3 July. Not the same as Persebaya dan Persib, the match against Perseru was postponed because of technical issues.

Persija was lack of time between playing against Perseru and Home United in AFC Cup, so the Perseru match had to be postponed, in order to arrive at Singapore two days before the match.

Another obstacle for Persija Jakarta, those three matches are not played in Gelora Bung Karno, as their home stadium (also national team stadium) is prepared to hold Asian Games. Persija will use PTIK Stadium, the Bhayangkara FC home ground, which only have 2.500 capacity.
