China beat Jordan with 8 goals in final group match of 2018 AFC Women’s Asian Cup

The game was held in Amman, Jordan to be the end of Matchday Three for Group A of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup.

The Chinese team took control of the game since the beginning of the game and could score their first goal at minute 14, but the Jordanian team replied very fast with scoring the equalizer by Sarah Abu Sabah.

Jordan continued the pressure to score but with no results, what made China’s ladies reply back by the shot by Rene Guézine that hit the defender Yasmine Khair and diverted into the goal.

After the start of the second half, the Chinese team returned to pressure and managed to score the third goal by Song Hwan.

In minute 84, Tang Jiali added the eighth and last goal with a shot from inside the area for China.

With the two goals the Chinese midfielder Li Ying scored in this game, Li became the first scorer for the tournament with 5 goals.

Jordan’s loss means the end of their journey in the competition, while China will be heading to the semi finals and wait for the runners-up from the Group B.
