Zlatan Ibrahimovic turns down £70million-a-year deal from China

Zlatan Ibrahimovic turned down a £71million offer from China in favor of completing a move to the LA Galaxy, the club’s technical director Jovan Kirovski revealed.

Ibrahimovic completed his move to the MLS side from Manchester United at the end of March on a free transfer.

The Swede, whose contract at Old Trafford was worth approximately £19 million-a-year,  accepted a 95 per cent pay cut to play for LA Galaxy outfit due to regulations in the MLS that involve maximum wage restrictions.

However, the move could not be made if Ibra accepted a lucrative offer from a Chinese club. As revealed by Galaxy’s technical director, Jovan Kirovski, on Sports Illustrated, there is a sum of £71million offered to the former United striker from the Far East.

After all, Ibra rejected China offer and subsequently finalized a long-anticipated move to the MLS side.
