Tim Cahill selected in Australia preliminary squad for friendlies against Norway and Colombia

Australia new coach Bert van Marwijk has named his 29-man preliminary squad for the friendlies against Norway and Colombia this month.

The official squad will be reduced to 23 this week ahead of the 23 March friendly against Norway in Oslo.

Van Marwijk has retained the Ange Postecoglou-coached squad that won the 2018 World Cup play-off against Honduras last November.

Tim Cahill, who has been the Socceroos’ most prolific international scorer, has been selected alongside Aston Villa’s Mile Jedinak, Hull City’s Jackson Irvine, Brighton goalkeeper Mathew Ryan and Celtic’s Tom Rogic.
