Gubernur Kalimantan Timur Cup 2018 has officially started last Friday. The opening match was a derby between Borneo FC and Mitra Kukar, which was held at Palaran Stadium, Samarinda.
Borneo won the match in the penalty shootout after the two could not score in 90 minutes. For your information, in the competition, there will be no draw result. If a match ends up with a draw, it will continue to the penalty shootout. The winner will get two points and the other will get one point.
In the second match, Arema FC and PSIS Semarang ended up with a penalty shootout too after the two were drawn 2-2 in 90 minutes. PSIS got the best of Arema and collected two points.
But, the two points that PSIS got was not the highlight of the game. It was the horrific tackle by Arema defender, Arthur Cunha, to PSIS new striker, Bruno Silva, that got a lot of attention.
In the 81st, Bruno tried to get through from Arthur, and the defender went with the horrific tackle to send Bruno down. It worked very well, but it was reported that Bruno fainted after the tackle. The victim was then brought to the hospital in Samarinda to get further treatment and the perpetrator only got a yellow card.
Cites from Indosport, Bruno had a mild concussion after the incident. He, fortunately, already awakes and based on PSIS official statements, he will get CT Scan to have further information about his injury.

That match was Bruno’s debut with PSIS and it was his first in Indonesia. Before he plays for PSIS, he played with Manama Club and Botafogo in Brazil.
