The Football Association of Thailand (FAT) will decide the fate of U-23 coach Zoran Jankovic next month.
Thailand had been eliminated of 2018 AFC U-23 Championship following three defeats in the group stage. Meanwhile, their rivals Vietnam and Malaysia reached the knock-out round with an impressive performance against Asia football giants.
During the review meeting with FAT on Wednesday, Jankovic blamed the loss to the absence of several key players. He claimed that many clubs refused to release their players to the national team.
Also in the meeting, FAT technical chief Witthaya Laohakul revealed that they might use U21 players at this year’s Asian Games, as reported by the Bangkok Post.
