Singapore national team coach V. Sundramoorthy said he could travel overseas to closely monitor his players as the Lions prepare for this year’s AFF Cup.
“It is a good issue to have and we will track these players. Most of them are in neighboring countries and we have enough manpower to do so,” Sundram told the Straits Times.
“Whether it is Malaysia or Thailand, I will personally attend some of their matches as it is important to be at the stadium to watch them.”
Next season, the number of Singaporean international playing overseas will increase to double for the first time.
Currently, players like goalkeeper Hassan Sunny, midfielder Zulfahmi Arifin, Hariss Harun and utility man Safuwan Baharudin are heading to Thailand and Malaysia.
