Malaysia U-23 finalise 23-man squad for AFC U-23 Championship

Malaysia U-23 head coach Ong Kim Swee has announced the final squad for the AFC U-23 Championship, which takes place in China next month.

Following the 1-1 draw against Jeonju Citizen in a friendly on Thursday, Kim Swee dropped three more players from the centralized training squad, including Raphi Azizan Mariappen (PJ Rangers), Ahmad Khairil Anuar Zamri (Perak) and Thivandaran Karnan (Pulau Pinang).

The three players would be selected as the replacement if any of the players in the 23-man final squad is injured before their first match in the tournament.

Defender: Matthew Davies, Syazwan Zaipol Bahari, Adib Zainuddin, Adam Nor Azlin,  Irfan Zakaria, Dominic Tan, Shivan Pillay
