At just 24 years old, Chanathip has become the new model for what Southeast Asian players can aspire to be. After a successful half-season with Muangthong United in which they reached the ACL’s Round of 16, Chanathip continued to shine in his J1 League debut with Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo. Despite only came to J1 at half season, Chanathip managed to establish himself as a starter for Consadole until the end of the season and help them to get a solid midtable finish after experienced shaky start.
