Shanghai Shenhua order Carlos Tevez to return to China by December 26

Carlos Tevez has been ordered to return to Shanghai Shenhua by December 26 if he wanted to continue his career in China.

Tevez was not in the Shenhua squad for either leg of the Cup final and flew back to Argentina when his side beat Shanghai SIPG to win the title.

According to reports by The Sun, the Chinese Super League club revealed they had no idea whether the Argentine star would return.

“We have informed him that he would have to return to the squad on December 26,” Shenhua spokesman Ma Yue said.

“But whether he will come back or not, it depends on his own decision.”

Last week, Shenhua were open that they would let Tevez decide whether he wanted to stay or leave the Chinese Super League.

The CFA Cup champions admitted that they have had offers for Tevez but could not force him to go anywhere.
