JDT captain Safiq Rahim slammed for swearing in Malaysia Cup final

Johor Darul Ta’zim’s (JDT) captain Safiq Rahim was under fire for swearing at critics following his side’s 2-0 win over Kedah in the Malaysia Cup final on Saturday.

It was reported that JDT skipper was swearing when the team were celebrating their victory. His profanity was caught on camera and viral on Malaysia social network.

“I believe he was letting out his frustration towards his critics but as the captain of both JDT and the national team, it was not a good thing to do,” former Malaysia national player Khalid Ali slammed Safiq, as quoted by the New Straits Times.

“It was quite surprising to see him behaving in such a way towards the (Kedah) fans and his critics.

“In my 40 years as a player, I have never heard of any player swearing at fans.”
