Chreng Polroth returned to the Cambodia national team under new head coach Prak Sovannara, after being suspended by former Leonardo Vitorino in September.
Polroth reportedly breaking the U-22 team’s rules during Kuala Lumpur’s SEA Games and was suspended alongside teammate Samoeun Pidor by Vitorino.
As the consequence, the 20-year-old midfielder missed both legs of the Group C qualifiers against Vietnam at the AFC Asia Cup qualification.
However, the newly-appointed coach Sovannara still decided to call Polroth back to the squad for the crucial qualifier against table-toppers Jordan on 14 November.
