Polroth and Pidor suspended from Cambodia national team “up to several months”

Cambodia U-22 head coach Leonardo Vitorino revealed that Chreng Polroth and Samoeun Pidor could be suspended from the National Team up to several months.

“Now they both [Polroth and Pidor] were cut [dropped] from the National Team, and of course the suspension could last 2, 3, or 4 months as it depends on them at their club,” Vitorino told reporters after arriving in Phnom Penh on Friday evening from Malaysia, as quoted by We Are Football.

The Brazilian opened that both Polroth and Pidor could be back to the National Team after the suspension and also based on their form at their club.

According to the announcement made by Vitorino via the official Facebook page of the Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) one day before the team’s final group-stage match against Thailand, both players have been suspended due to disciplinary reason.

Although FFC has not finalized the detail of the suspension, Polroth and Pidor will likely miss Cambodia’s third Group C match against Vietnam at the AFC Asia Cup qualifiers on 5 September.
