Capital Group to take over Thai club Super Power

Thai League 1 relegated Super Power Samut Prakan have been taken over by Capital Group from Maha Sarakham and will be relocated to Maha Sarakham Main Stadium next year.

Super Power became the first top-flight side to be relegated to Thai League 2. The team had experienced a series of winless games in Thai League 1, including humiliating defeats like 7-0, 8-0, 9-2 and 9-1.

They had to part ways with English coach after the first leg of this season.

On the other hand, the Samut Prakan-based club will be renamed Jumpasri United next season.

Being established as Osotspa in 1971, the club changed its name to Osotspa M-150, Osotspa M-150 Saraburi, Osotspa M-150 Samut Prakan and finally Super Power Samut Prakan.
