VIDEO: Lukas Podolski picks up bizarre yellow card

Lukas Podolski received a strange yellow card in the recent Emperor’s Cup game between his side Vissel Kobe and Kashima Antlers.

While Podolski was preparing for a set-piece, his arm moved back just a fraction and touched Antlers goalkeeper Sun-Tae Kwon, who was close behind him.

The German striker lifted his arms up, Kwon went down holding his face right in front of the referee. Podolski was, unsurprisingly, bewildered by the action.

The former Bayern Munich striker even took to Twitter after the match to have a laugh about the booking.

Vissel Kobe went on to win the penalty shoot-out 6-5 after the 1-1 draw in regular time.
