Paulinho flew to China to celebrate the seven-straight Chinese Super League title of his former club Guangzhou Evergrande.
As reported by Marca, Barcelona allowed Paulinho to fly to China following the 2-0 victory over Malaga on Sunday.
On Chinese social networks, Paulinho expressed his joy to see his old teammates and also thanked the city of Guangzhou.
“[Guangzhou] was a city where I was very happy,” the 29-year-old said.
Paulinho helped Guangzhou Evergrande to back-to-back league titles in 2015 and 2016, as well as an AFC Champions League trophy in 2015.
