Jiangsu Suning insisted that head coach Fabio Capello would remain at the club amid reports about his possibility to replace Italy national team coach Gian Piero Ventura.
“Capello is wholly committed to our team’s relegation battle and he has never announced his intention to leave,” the club told Soccer News, as reported by Omnisport.
“He has a year-and-a-half contract with the club and none of us have ever involved in any talks about terminating his contract.”
The 71-year-old became the new boss of Jiangsu Suning this June, following the footsteps of high-profile Italians Marcello Lippi and Fabio Cannavaro to manage a side in China.
