Carlos Tevez’s agent dismissed reports that the Argentine would join Brazilian outfit Palmeiras.
“There is nothing (with Palmeiras). It’s all false. No one from Palmeiras spoke to me. Tevez will stay in China,” said the striker’s agent Adrian Ruocco in an interview with GloboEsporte.com.
On the other hand, GloboEsporte revealed that the former Manchester United star was expected to extend the contract with Shanghai Shenhua until the end of 2018.
Despite being one of the highest paid football players in the world, Tevez has received massive criticism from Chinese fans for his dismal performance since joining Shenhua from Boca Juniors in December.
The 33-year-old has only scored three goals in 13 matches for the Chinese Super League side.
