Defending Thai League 1 champions Muangthong United have been ready to extend coach Totchtawan Sripan’s contract for another two years, the club said.
Report from the Bangkok Post suggested that the new deal would be 15 million baht (approximately 450.000 USD) a year for Totchtawan, making him the highest paid coach in the top flight.
“We are ready to extend the contract of our coach Totchtawan Sripan for another two years beginning 2018 after his contract expires at the end of this year,” Muangthong United chairman Viluck Lohthong said in the press conference on Tuesday.
The move from Muangthong United may put an end to the speculation that the former Thailand national team head coach is set to take over the club’s reins next year.
