Australia may face extreme temperature in Malaysia during play-off against Syria

Australia would have to play under the extreme temperature in Malaysia when they face Syria in the first-legged play off on 5 October.

The Socceroos players have to fly to Malaysia from Australia in a long flight, before driving for two hours from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to the city of Malacca, on the southern end of the Malay Peninsula

And once stepping out of their air-conditioned comfort, Ange Postecoglou and his men would struggle with high humidity and temperatures in excess of 30 Celcius degree.

The worst thing comes when the Socceroos look set to go into battle against Syria without captain Mile Jedinak, after he was again left out of Aston Villa’s squad in Saturday win over Nottingham Forrest.

Postecoglou will trim the 30-man squad into 23 on Wednesday.
