After quitting as head coach of Port FC, Kiatisuk “Zico” Senamuang has been linked with the vacancy in coaching position of Vietnam national team.
In an exclusive interview with Vietnam news site Zing.vn on Thursday, Kiatisuk has expressed his enthusiasm to the new challenge if he has a chance to grab the job.
“I resigned yesterday, and I knew that the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) was looking for candidates for the coach of the national team. It is a very exciting and challenging opportunity. However, I have not received any offer from VFF at all,” the former Thailand international said.
“I also heard that the VFF and Vietnamese fans want to see me in the coaching position of their team. Actually, I was quite happy to hear that, but now I have not received any official messages or exchanges from the VFF.”
The 44-year-old has the enormous knowledge of Vietnam football since he had spent a long time here as both player and coach of Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC.
