Cambodia national team head coach Leonardo Vitorino has been upbeat about the chance of winning points in the AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Vietnam on Tuesday.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Vitorino said he was pleased with the team’s efforts, but acknowledged their upcoming match would be tough as they have to face one of the strongest teams in the region.
“Although Vietnam have replaced their head coach after the 29th SEA Games, they are still a strong team,” the Brazilian said, as quoted by Zing.vn.
“But Cambodia has the advantage of playing on the home field, in addition, I have many good players in hands. Therefore, I believe my squad will achieve good results. My goal in the next match is to get at least one point,” he added.
