Gavin Kwan begs Luis Milla to stay as Indonesia head coach

Barito Putera full-back Gavin Kwan Adsit wants Luis Milla to remain as Indonesia national team head coach despite failed to reach gold medals target in 2017 SEA Games.

The Young Garuda failed to advance into the final after losing 1-0 to hosts Malaysia in the semi-final stage which was held at Shah Alam Stadium on last Saturday.

Rumours said that the Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) will review Luis Milla’s contract, who previously signed a two-year deal in January.

However, Gavin Kwan insisted that the Spanish tactician has improved the standard of Indonesian football with his decent tactical ability.

“Everyone could see how we play here (in SEA Games). We hope that Luis Milla could stay for longer,” he said.

Indonesia will face Myanmar in the bronze medal game at the Selayang Municipal Council Stadium on Tuesday evening.
