- Vietnam U23 coach Nguyen Huu Thang urges his team to push to the limits in the final AFC U23 championship qualifier group battle against South Korea on Sunday.
Vietnam have a great chance to enter the final round of the AFC U23 Championship after two impressive wins against Timor Leste and Macau.
Meanwhile, in an unexpected result, East Timor held title favourites South Korea to a 0-0 draw, which helped the Young Golden Stars stole the top spot of group I.
However, coach Thang warned his side not to be overconfident about the prospect of overcoming giants Korea in the last battle of the group stage.
“U22 Vietnam will have to push their efforts to the limits because we will not target just a draw. We need not to think about the final result, it is important to stay focused and play our best. My team are in good spirits so I think we can play a fair game with Korea”, Thang said in a press conference, as quoted by Bong Da Newspaper.
