FC Koln’s Anthony Modeste has completed his transfer to Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian.
According to reports from China, the 29-year-old striker has joined Tianjin Quanjian for a fee of €35 million, which is composed of a €6 million loan with a €29 million option to buy.
FC Koln confirmed in a statement that “all relevant parties have agreed” to the transfer.
“FC Koln would like to thank Tony for his performances in the FC jersey whilst wishing him all the best for the future,” the statement said.
Modeste had a terrific season in the Bundesliga last season to help the club back in Europe after 25 years in which he scored 25 goals.
The French striker had joined FC Koln from Hoffenheim in 2015 and was under contract until 2021.
