North Korea coach praises Thailand ahead of King’s Cup clash

North Korea head coach Jorn Anderson has some good words for Thailand before both teams meet at King’s Cup on Friday.

“Thailand are a good team. They have several young players who are good,” Anderson said, as quoted by Bangkok Posts.

“However, I will look at the competition on a match-by-match basis and do not set a target.”

The North Korean team arrived in Bangkok on Wednesday for the annual four-team tournament, which will be held at Bangkok’s Rajamangala National Stadium.

On Friday, defending champions Thailand will face North Korea at 7.30pm and Burkina Faso play Belarus at 4.30pm.

The winners of both games will meet in the final on Sunday while the losing teams will compete in the third-place play-off on the same day.
