Cambodia head coach Leonardo Vittorio: KBZ Bank Cup an indication for SEA Games

Cambodia under 22-coach Leonardo Vittorio are preparing his team for the match against hosts Myanmar in the four-nation invitational KBZ Bank Cup.

The two nations will compete alongside Hong Kong Under-22s and a Japan Universiade team.

Vitorino expects this international friendly competition will be the chance for Cambodian youngsters to improve before competing in SEA Games in August.

“This tournament will be very important as a pre-SEA Games warm-up. Hopefully, it will give us an indication of our level and what stage we can reach [at the SEA Games],” said the Brazilian coach, as quoted by The Khmer Times.

Expressing his thoughts about the Wednesday match against hosts Myanmar, Vitorino said: “We know the history of Myanmar and we know what they can do. They have played together for six years and they are at home so they have that advantage.”
