Although he was just sacked as the head coach of the South Korea national team, the German had a respectable record when he was in charge of the Taeguek Warriors. He led them to the final of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup where they lost to Australia in extra-time but made amends for that by winning the EAFF East Asian Cup later that year. The 62-year-old has also managed Al-Sailiya in Qatar, where he won the league title.
