Muangthong United officially announce the signing of Charyl Chappuis

After a long time chasing, Muangthong United can finally own midfielder Charyl Chappuis with the aim of strengthening their strike force in the second leg of the Thai League 1 season.

Charyl was unveiled by Muangthong at a press conference, which took place at 10 p.m in SCG Stadium.

After signing the 4-and-a-half-year contract, the 25-year-old has been the sixth player to join the Thai League 1 table-toppers in this summer’s transfer window in Thailand.

Being a product of the famed Grasshoppers youth academy, Charyl became internationally recognized when he was part of the squad that won the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

The Thai-Swiss joined Thai League 1 Buriram United in 2013 before joining Suphanburi in 2015.

He also represented Thailand U23 in the 2014 Asian Games and was also part of Thailand‘s winning squad at the 2014 and 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup.
