Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has been sacked by Chinese second-tier team Shenzhen FC after just six months in charge.
According to The Guardian, China League One’s Shenzhen issued a poem to welcome back former coach Wang Baoshan as manager, before confirming that they parted ways with the Swedish boss.
“The negotiations between the two sides were very smooth, leaving only some details to be completed by lawyers,” the statement from Shenzhen said.
Eriksson replaced former AC Milan coach Clarence Seedorf as Shenzhen coach in December.
However, the 69-year-old has been dismissed after failing to inspire The Guangdong-based a promotion charge and mustering a run of only five wins from 13 games in the league.
