Laos suffered a heavy defeat from giant UAE in a friendly in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on Wednesday.
The Gulf team were simply too good for Laos as they won the international friendly 4-0 on the debut game of newly-appointed coach Edgardo Bauza.
The UAE were leading 2-0 at half time with goals from Ali Mabkhout in the 13th minute and Khalil in the 38th minute.
After the interval, the gap continued to be widened as Dusit Chalermsan’s side conceded another goal from Mabkhout.
Tariq Ahmed then made it 4-0 in the 70th minute to mark a memorable debut for former Argentina national team head coach Bauza.
UAE now head to Bangkok to take on Thailand in a crucial 2018 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.
