Stipe Plazibat was again the hero for Home United, striking twice in the last five minutes to deliver a 3-2 win and send the Singaporean side into the Zonal Final following a 5-4 aggregate victory.
The hosts found themselves behind on the night and in the tie after Kemy Agustien put Global in front from a sixth-minute penalty.
Song Ui-young restored parity half-an-hour later with an impressive effort from range, but Shu Sasaki then edged Global back in front in the 49th minute.
Global’s Dennis Villanueva saw a red card in the 71st minute and Home United’s pressure finally paid off as Plazibat prodded home from close range in the 89th minute before curling in a wonderful free-kick in the fourth minute of injury time to spark mass celebrations.
Home United will now face the winner of Wednesday’s other Zonal Semi-final between Ceres-Negros of the Philippines or Malaysia’s Johor Darul Ta’zim, with Johor 3-2 up after the first leg.
