Vietnam and Gangwon FC midfielder Luong Xuan Truong recently suffers an injury setback and will not return to the field anytime soon.
The 22-year-old suffered a knee injury in the 1-1 draw against Afghanistan on 28 March.
Truong was thought to be able to recover after one month; however, his injury was more complex than expected.
On his Facebook page, the Vietnamese told his fans that he would hope to return to action soon.
“Thanks everyone for asking about my injury situation. I can’t be sure when I can play again because the injury is more complicated than I thought,” Truong wrote.
“I’m doing my best at rehabilitation so that I can recover soon.”
The centre midfielder is currently on loan at Gangwon FC, but have not made any appearances for the Korean club.
Truong’s chance to play was constantly damaged by his ankle and knee injuries.
After 10 matches, Gangwon are 9th on the table with 3 wins, 3 draws and 4 losses.
