Indonesia set to call up five international players for friendly match against Cambodia

The Indonesia national team will test their strength against Southeast Asian opponent Cambodia in a friendly next month.

The match will be held on 8 June at the Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh.

This will be Luis Milla’s first official match as the head coach of Indonesia.

“At first, our idea was to hold an internal match but if we could play against Cambodia, it would be better so we could see the extent to which the team has progressed,” said Milla to Goal Indonesia on Sunday morning.

“We want to see the development of this team because our goal is to continue to grow until we finally become a team that is really good and solid,” he added.

It is also confirmed that five senior players will be called up for this international friendly, while the rest of the squad will be made up of U-22 players.
