Japanese side offered loan contract for Tanaboon Kesarat

Tanaboon Kesarat recently revealed that he had been contacted by a J.League team in the middle of last season for a loan deal.

However, after consideration, his former parent club Muangthong United rejected the offer.

Tanaboon mentioned the loan offer in an interview with Hattrick Magazine: “Actually, in the middle of last season, one agent contacted me to play in Japan.”

“I want to go on loan in Japan, but Muang Thong refuses, they want me to stay until the team wins the league first.”

Tanaboon started his career at BEC Tero Sasana and became an integral part of the club in the 2013 Thai Premier League campaign. In 2014, Tanaboon and his teammates helped the club to win 2014 Thai League Cup, the club first trophy in 12 years.

The defensive midfielder later joined Muangthong United in the 2016 season, winning a league and cup double with the tradtional powerhouse.

On 2 November 2016, Chiangrai United completed the transfer of Tanaboon Kesarat from Muangthong United. The transfer fee is undisclosed but estimated to be around 50 million Baht.
