Laos to appoint Dusit Chalermsan as national team head coach

Lao Football Federation is on the verge of appointing the new national head coach, Dusit Chalermsan.

After being sacked by Sisaket FC of Thai League in late February, Thai legend Dusit Chalermsan is ready to take up a new challenge in the region.

It is believed that Dusit will be given a 3-year contract by the Lao Football Federation.

Dusit Chalermsan is considered as one of the best players in the history of Thailand national team, representing the War Elephants 124 times and scoring 14 goals.

The former defender played for BEC Tero Sasana (now Police United), Mohun Bagan (India), Hoang Anh Gia Lai (Vietnam), and become synonymous with the football scenes around Thailand and Vietnam.

A set-piece specialist, Dusit scored 36 goals in 396 matches during his 19-year playing career.

As a head coach, Dusit managed Hoang Anh Gia Lai, PTT Rayong, Prachuap and most recently Sisaket in Thai League.
