Afghanistan 1-1 Vietnam (AFC Asian Cup Qualification – Third Round)
Vietnam shared the spoils with Afghanistan in Group C of the third round of Asian Cup Qualification.
Afghan stopper Ovays Azizi pulled out a spectacular save to deny a free-kick from the edge of the penalty area, but Vietnam’s Nguyen Van Toan followed up smartly to head the ball home.
Afghanistan captain Hassan Amin equalized just four minutes later with a stunning volley from just outside the area.
Vietnam are currently second in Group B, while Afghanistan are third, both with 1 point.
