Johor Darul Ta’zim midfielder Hariss Harun is set to join Home United on a loan deal for the 2017 S.League season before he has played a game in Spain. The Singapore vice-captain had been loaned out to Spanish side CE L’Hospitalet, but he could not be registered by the club until an existing tax liability is settled.
Hariss is reportedly set to train with Home as early as this Saturday and could even make his debut for the Protectors in the AFC Cup tie against Than Quảng Ninh at Jalan Besar Stadium on March 14.
“Home United Football Club is pleased to announce that it is in the process of finalizing the signing of Singapore international player and vice-captain Hariss Harun on a loan deal from Johor Darul Ta’zim FC,” the club said in a statement posted on Facebook.
“HUFC welcomes Hariss and would like to extend our appreciation to Johor Darul Ta’zim FC for their collaborative plan to ensure that Hariss Harun maintains his currency and standard of football.
“The club will ensure that the Singapore national team, Johor Darul Ta’zim and HUFC will benefit from Hariss’ professionalism and technical abilities. As a club, we welcome a player of such immense value.”
The move would be a further boost to a Home United side that has made a strong start to 2017.
