Singapore national team head coach V. Sundramoorthy says the Lions are looking for West Asian opponents to play a friendly match on March 23 in Doha, five days ahead of their AFC Asian Cup qualifier against Bahrain.
“Being able to play us in Doha will be ideal for us as we could cut traveling time to Bahrain to an hour,” V. Sundramoorthy told local newspapers.
“Bahrain are a strong team, but we believe if we can play well as a team, we can get a positive result to kick-start our campaign”, he added.
The Singapore squad will have an extended training camp from March 13. The team have already met up in Geylang on Monday.
