WATCH: Carlos Tevez scores on Chinese Super League debut

Argentine striker Carlos Tevez marked his Chinese Super League debut with a goal from the penalty spot to help Shanghai Shenhua to a 4-0 victory over Jiangsu Suning on Sunday.

The former Manchester City and Manchester United player, who is reportedly the highest paid footballer in the world after making the move to China, also provided two key passes for Giovanni Moreno to score a brace for Gus Poyet’s side.

“I am extremely happy for Tevez”, Poyet told reporters after the match.

“Goals are important and he has started his CSL journey with goals. The four goals are all linked to him but he needs the team to work as a whole”, he added.
