The Football Association of Thailand (FAT) has managed to secure Kiatisuk Senamuang’s services for another year as the head coach .
Kiatisuk, who is commonly known as Zico, on Tuesday signed a one-year extension to his existing contract which will keep him until February 2018.
The FAT president, Pol Gen Somyot Pumpanmuang, had stated earlier that their vision is to see Thailand perform well in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers and Zico would be tasked with exactly that.
Thailand currently at the bottom table of Group B in the third round of World Cup qualifiers after recording five-game winless streak.
Zico will continue his reign as The War Elephant’s tactician in the match against Saudi Arabia at home on 23 March and away to Japan on 28 March 2017.
