Johor Darul Ta’zim are planning to reinforce their attacking force when the transfer window comes back in three months’ time.
The Malaysian champions have failed to score a single goal in the regular time of the last two AFC Champions League matches and have been knocked out of the tournament after 0-3 defeat to Gamba Osaka.
Sports Director Alistair Edwards admits that scoring goals has been a problem for the 2015 AFC Cup winners and they will need to strengthen the squad if they want to target more glories.
“The issue we are facing is putting the ball in the back of the net,” said Edwards via the Southern Tigers Facebook page. “We are unable to fix this issue at the moment, due to circumstances beyond our control, but rest assured, when the transfer window opens in May, this issue will be resolved.”
