Cambodian striker Chan Vathanaka left the pitch early due to fatigue in his first practice with J3 League side Fujieda MYFC.
The 23-year-old arrived in Tokyo on Tuesday, marking the start of his one-year loan from Boeung Ket Angor as he seeks to become the J.League’s first Cambodian player.
But Vathanaka made it just halfway through Wednesday’s session, blaming his poor fitness on a weather-related headache as he seeks to adjust to the colder Japanese climate as well as training at a higher intensity.
The attacker, who finished top scorer in the Cambodian League in the last two seasons, clinched his move to Japan with an impressive performance in the 2016 AFF Suzuki Cup.
