Alexandre Pato joins Tianjin Quanjian from Villarreal

Former AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato has completed his transfer move from Spanish club Villarreal to Chinese Super League outfit Tianjin Quanjian.

The 27-year-old player will be coached by Italian World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro and will join Belgian international footballer Axel Witsel, who had finalized his transfer move from Zenit Saint Petersburg earlier this month, at the Chinese club.

According to reports, Pato will earn around €10 million per year at Tianjin Quanjian.

The former Chelsea player joined Villarreal at the start of the 2016/17 season. However, he failed to impress in the Spanish club, scoring just twice in his 14 league appearances.

Pato was considered as one of the brightest young talents in Europe when he joined AC Milan as a 17-year-old. However, his career was blighted by injury and had to return to Brazil in 2013.
