Indian U-16 boys started their campaign in the Four-nation International Tournament in style beating Jordan U-16 team 2-1. The Indian U-16 youth team is currently in Serbia participating in the Four-nation International Tournament as a part of their preparation of the 2018 AFC U-16 Championship.
India got off to the worst possible start conceding in the 2nd minute as Jordan U-16 boys went 1-0 up. But Indian colts was persistent in their attack and finally scored the equalizer in the 17th minute through Ridge. Boosted by the goal, India found an extra yard and increased the tempo of the game stringing quick passes and testing the Jordan backline.
India scored the second goal to take a lead into the game 9 minutes letter when Jordanian goalkeeper fumbled to collect Ridge’s powerful shot from the edge of the box. Rohit Danu was lurking in the six-yard box to finish it off as India lead 2-1.
India had chances to increase their lead in the 53rd minute through Givson but Joradian goalkeeper averted the danger. With time ticking by, Indian colts held on to their defensive shape and finished the game with a 2-1 win.
