South Korea national team head coach Uli Stielike will not rush to offer Barcelona wonderkids Lee Seung-woo and Paik Seung-ho a senior cap in the near future.
Both players are regarded as two of the most promising talents in Spanish football and they have made a great impression during the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup this month.
Lee and Paik led the young Taegeuk Warriors to reach the round of 16, where they will face Portugal after helping the team won against Guinea and Argentina in the group stage.
However, the 62 year-old German tactician insisted that it is too soon to bring
them into the senior side, which he described as an entirely different game.
“Those two players have done really well in the group stage,” the German told reporters on Monday.
“But before the U-20 World Cup started I watched them play (K League side) Jeonbuk Hyundai in a friendly match.
“And it was clear that there was a big gap between the U-20 and senior level. It’s too soon to bring U-20 players into the national side.”
