Porto’s Japan international Shoya Nakajima is back training with the Primeira Liga champions and will be hoping to make his first appearance of the season when he returns to full fitness.
Nakajima rose through the academy at Tokyo Verdy before flourishing in Japan’s top flight with FC Tokyo. The versatile attacker then earned his first move abroad with a season-long loan at Portuguese side Portimonense – a deal which was made permanent at the end of the campaign.
The 26 years old spent a short stint with Al-Duhail in the Qatar Stars League then moved back to Portugal with FC Port in July of 2019. Since then, Nakajima as played 28 games for FC Porto across all competitions including the UEFA Europa League.
