Esteghlal Italian manager Andrea Stramaccioni is happy that his team finally found the mentality of a great side.
After a stuttering start of the season, Esteghlal won second successive matches with convincing 4-0 win over Saipa.
Stramaccioni believes the Blues were timid in previous matches and is happy that his players showed more courage against Saipa.
“We have tried to be ready for this match because we were concerned about players’ physical situation. It was important to begin the match strongly and show attacking performance. I’m very happy that we kept a clean sheet for second successive matches. It’s a step forward and we have to keep going.” He said to reporters.
“In previous matches against Foolad and Naft-e-Masjed Soleyman, we were a little timid after scoring the opener. So I tried to work on players’ mentality and convinced them that we are Esteghlal and shouldn’t be happy after scoring just one goal and have to score more along with staying balanced.” Italian manager added.
