For the upcoming 2019 King’s Cup tournament in Buriram, Thailand’s caretaker head coach Sirisak Yodyardthai has decided to give a few players their first call-ups to the senior national team. In today’s feature, we profile the three new players who could win their first caps for their country.

Suphanat Mueanta

Position: Striker

Age: 16

Club: Buriram United

The Buriram United teenage-sensation holds the record as Thai League's youngest ever goalscorer (15 years old). He is also the 5th youngest to ever feature in the AFC Champions League, and the youngest to find the net in that competition. Suphanat was the standout performer from Thailand's AFC U19 venture and has already scored for the U23 team, playing alongside his older brother Supachok Sarachat. Blessed with confidence, skills and clinical finishing; Suphanat could add a few extra records to his long list with a debut or goal for the War Elephants.

Pawee Tanthatemee

Position: Center back

Age: 22

Club: Ratchaburi FC

This season Pawee has been a mainstay in Ratchaburi FC's defense thanks to his fearless displays. The 22-year-old made only a few cameo appearances for the Thai U21/23 team but now has the chance to prove his quality with the senior squad.

Siwakorn Jakkuprasat

Position: Central midfielder

Age: 27

Club: Port FC

Siwakorn was part of Thailand's midfield when the U23 team won gold medals at the 2015 SEA Game, playing alongside the likes of Thitipan Puangchan and Chanathip Songkrasin. However, unlike former teammates, the silky midfielder has yet to find an opportunity to rise to national team stardom at a senior level...until now. Siwakorn has started all of the possible league matches this season, driving Port FC to the top of the table with a stellar contribution from midfield, and has rightly earned a call-up to the national side.
